Lanvin collaborated with Warner Bros. and DC superhero Batman for the first time at the Paris Fashion Week 2022 Spring/Summer conference. It can only be said that the vision created by creative director Bruno Sialelli in Lanvin continues to surprise and fascinate us.
The most eye-catching feature of this season’s joint series is the combination of the skateboarding culture of the 90s and also a tribute to the Osiris D3 shoes. The mask part is reinterpreted in pink-purple tones. The interlaced matching of the classic coarse-patterned woven laces, purple suede and black rubber decoration makes the overall appearance vaguely reveal the subtle relationship between Batman and Joker.
In this capsule series, we can see Batman and his partners and enemies appearing on various items together. The leather shorts and satin bomber jacket are based on a mysterious purple tone, and the double-breasted details are further reminiscent of the image of Joker; the split shirt is inspired by the Batmobile as the main source of inspiration, and the pattern is based on Gotham City. With blue and green, and the sunglasses worn by the models also indirectly bear the shadow of Robin.
Among them, a printed shirt is particularly popular. The right side of the shirt has a Batman pattern that looks elegant, and the left side is completely black. This arrangement presents the impression of superheroes shining in the dark. In addition, a mixed beige and gray suit jacket printed with Batman and Robin has been confirmed to be retained in the brand’s future Archive.
