“Teatro Scuola” at Alfieri, the stage that kids like

Bringing digital natives to the audience: the Municipality of Asti has long focused on “School Theater” to engage the public of tomorrow. A project that over the years has taken a step further: the memorandum of understanding between the Provveditorato and the Alfieri Theater has confirmed and relaunched the collaboration between the world of schools and institutions to support the didactic action of the theater, with the involvement of a technical committee made up of teachers and operators in the sector.

Aimed at elementary, middle and high school, 2022 programming is at home at Alfieri, a cultural space that offers services in safety, in compliance with anti Covid regulations. Before leaving was the section dedicated to high school, with an adhesion beyond expectations: the show “Guido played the violin” (by Patrizia Camatel from a story by Nicoletta Fasano) was staged for over 260 students of the “Monti” and “Vercelli” high schools. The high school bill will continue on Tuesday 5 April with «Dante among the flames and the stars»Directed by Emiliano Bronzino, created with the historical-scientific consultancy of Alessandro Barbero.

Against cyberbullying

On Thursday 24 February, however, the curtain of the Alfieri will go up for the middle school students: the Teatro del Buratto will bring on stage “In the network”. Text and direction by Renata Colucci, interpreted by Gabriele Bajo, Benedetta Brambilla and Marta Mungo, the show deals with a theme of dramatic relevance: the cyberbullismo. The show tells the stories of three teenagers in parallel: different personalities, three ways of living the same experience. The web is their world, their way of walking in reality: in the web they move safely, they feel, at ease. Hidden in front of a screen, they open up, confide in each other and feel deceptively untouchable. Three stories intersect on the web, marked by cyberbullying, sexting, and excessive use of the network, social networks, internet or games. There are already 105 bookings from different classes, but there are still seats available.
