by admin

Welcome to ancient Olympia, as it was in its greatest glory and splendor. In the Olympic Museum of Athens you can go back in time to 173 AD, take part in the Olympic Games and experience history first hand.

Thanks to the new museum project created by Microsoft and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sport which, thanks to artificial intelligence and an immersive experience, allows visitors to catapult into the ancient world, between the scene of everyday life and 27 monuments, including the original Olympic Stadium, the temple of Zeus and Hera and the workshop of Phidias.

“With the digital representation of the Panhellenic sanctuary of ancient Olympia, its cultural heritage – but also the values of Olympism, peace, harmony, excellence and noble rivalry – becomes accessible to the whole world through the use of cutting-edge technologies, ”Minister Lina Mendoni said in a statement.

The exhibition is free to enter and will continue until November 2023.
