ROME – The celebrations for the centenary of the Monza racetrack start from afar, which will be celebrated in 2022. The Italian Pavilion, at Expo Dubai 2020, hosted the preview presentation of the centenary logo as part of the “Italian sports day” , the day dedicated to Italian sport, organized by Coni. The event was attended, among others, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, the President of Coni, Giovanni MalagĆ², Aci, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, the Monza racetrack, Giuseppe Radaelli and the CEO of Formula One Group, Stefano Domenicali.
“It is the Temple of Speed, the track, the true protagonist of the centenary logo, taking on the majestic shape of a tricolor” temple “, a sinuous ribbon that crosses the characters of Monza and the number 100. We wanted to give a graphic interpretation to the circuit , making the track a three-dimensional icon explained Ludovico Fois, advisor for external relations and head of communication at Aci – The green track, its red exterior together with the white of its interior create the sensation of the tricolor “. Next will be a special year for F1 in Italy, as in addition to the centenary of the Monza circuit, Imola will host the second Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1, once again demonstrating the excellence of Made in Italy in the field of motorsport.
