From May 26th to June 2nd local time, the 38th Iranian Dawn International Film Festival was held in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Due to the new crown epidemic, this year’s film festival adopted a “no audience” online approach, and only some film critics and film producers were invited on site. This year’s film festival lasted 8 days, and more than 100 films including two Chinese films were screened. Among them, the Chinese films received widespread praise from local film critics.

Film critic Tajik:The Chinese movies I watched are amazing. They surpassed my expectations. I like them very much. They are very close to Iranian films and focus on humanistic topics. The focus of Asian countries can be seen in Chinese movies, which is very successful. When watching Chinese movies, you can feel your soul is purified.

Asgarpur, the director of the Dawning Film Festival:Movies are the best way of dialogue between different civilizations, people and societies. In recent years, China-Iran cooperation has strengthened, and many Iranian filmmakers are seeking to cooperate with China, and vice versa. So I think the relationship between the two sides will be further strengthened.

The Iranian Dawn International Film Festival was founded in 1982 and is supervised and directed by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Initially held in February every year, starting in 2015, the film festival is divided into a domestic film festival held in February and an international film festival held in April. The name of the highest award at the Iranian Dawn International Film Festival is the “Kingsmov Award”.
