On the evening of October 2nd, Eric and his friend Mr. Todd Martin took their daughters to watch the Shen Yun performance. This was the first performance of the Shen Yun Touring Performing Arts Troupe at the PORTLAND Merrill Auditorium in Portland, USA.

The three-dimensional dynamic sky curtain of Shen Yun’s performance is exquisitely designed, seamlessly interacting with the live performance. Todd expressed his appreciation. He praised it as a surprise. “The design of the canopy is great! At the beginning, I didn’t realize that the canopy is dynamic. And the live performance and the interaction of the canopy are a great surprise for me!”
He also said that he is inspired by Shen Yun’s color combinations and plans to apply what he has learned to his own designs. “I may apply these to my work in the next few weeks, because some of the color combinations I have not used normally. Some different shades of purple and pink are paired together, this is not my natural palette. I I might try it, because this combination is really good!”
Shen Yun’s performance made Todd feel overwhelmed, “The first time I watched it, it was really dizzying!” “Traditional Chinese costumes are so beautiful! I think they are so beautiful!”
Eric said that their daughters like dancing, so I want them to enjoy the dance they haven’t seen before. What Shen Yun presents is Chinese classical dance and ethnic dance, which is really amazing. He praised: “Shen Yun dance is really beautiful!”
