A strategic observation point, in the West, on trends, styles and the market of the East, a look at the present and the future of the new cinema “made in Asia”. It is the 15th edition of the Far East Film Festival, in Udine until April 27, 57 scheduled titles and European and international premieres of films from Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore , Taiwan, between powerful blockbusters and precious outsiders. The novelty of this year is that some important films of the festival will be visible on our website (on computer, tablet and smartphone) thanks to MYmovies.it which will broadcast them in streaming on MYMOVIESLIVE! simultaneously with the viewing in the hall. The online review will also be enriched by a selection of premieres and films from previous editions. Before each online screening, daily video-pills will be presented to take stock of the progress of this 15th edition of the event.

In the exhibition, there are many observation points that accompany the viewer on the journey through oriental cinema. “For example, we will discover the North Korean capital Pyongyang – explains the president of the festival, Sabrina Baracetti – told in Comrade Kim Goes Flying, a rare example of international co-production for the state-controlled North Korean industry. The South Korean director Kim Dong-ho will be awarded the Golden Mulberry, this edition’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Among other “goodies”, the latest productions of Japanese cinema signed by authors such as Nakamura Yoshihiro (See You Tomorrow, Everyone), which will be present in Udine, or Kudo Kankuro (Maruyama, the Middle Schooler) and the films of Hong Kong cinematography, which at the festival will be represented by Herman Yau, author of one of the most anticipated titles, Ip Man – The Final Fight, new stage of the biopic on the teacher of Bruce Lee. Lu Chua will return from mainland China with the blockbuster The Last Supper, story of the birth of the ancient Han Dynasty. The festival will also take care of the first publication in Italian and English of the writings of the Chinese director King Hu, author of the cult A Touch of Zen.

The films presented in streaming on MYMOVIESLIVE! they are like real screenings in the hall: they start at a precise time and it is not possible to stop playback.
