Matthew Hacking is the project chief software engineer of Wells Fargo, one of the top ten banks in the world. In the afternoon, he and his family watched the Shen Yun performance together.
He said that this was a special trip he arranged for his family who came from afar to visit relatives, and it also fulfilled his “Dream of Shen Yun”, “It’s our first time to watch Shen Yun! I’ve been wanting to come for a long time!”
“She (Shen Yun) looks unique and interesting. I saw a flyer this year that said it was China before communism, and I was very interested in that.”
After watching the performance, Hacking was deeply impressed by the beauty of Shen Yun, “I enjoyed it very much!” “I like the dancers’ light and elegant dance postures, and I like those flowing ribbons and long sleeves.”
But what moved him the most was the divine connotation presented by Shen Yun, “I really like the spiritual connotation in the performance, which tells about the existence of higher beings, and I am very grateful for that. Hacking said that after watching Shen Yun, he knew that the five thousand years of traditional Chinese culture can be so beautiful. “She (Shen Yun) made me think a lot.” It seems that many gymnastics movements are derived from Chinese classical dance, “It’s very interesting.”
“A high-quality performance like this requires a lot of practice, and this is not a team that can be easily replicated. It takes a lot of practice,” Hacking said. “Thanks to them (Shen Yun artists) for their hard work, really It’s beautiful.”
Hacking’s aunt Margaret is also full of praise for Shen Yun, “It’s uplifting. I feel great from beginning to end, and I’m grateful to be invited to watch the show.”
She said that since she got Shen Yun’s program book, she has carefully read the contents of the program book, “I want to thank the actors for sharing their talents with the world.”

Former U.S. Olympic figure skater and figure skating coach Maria Causey-Nelson watched the Shen Yun performance. She enthused: “I loved every minute of the show! It was incredible, the dancers were amazing. The synchronicity, the message, the music…it was inspiring.”
Causey-Nelson competed in figure skating at the 1984 Olympics, was the top figure skating player in the United States at the time, and went on to perform on ice, Disney on ice and coaching.
She said she learned a lot from the show. From the show, she realized, “Humanity is in reincarnation, evil will decay, and there will be spiritual purification in the future. Very positive messages give people hope.”
