ROME – The “Attitude and behavior at parking” survey, carried out by the YouGov research institute for EasyPark, reveals the future hopes of motorists on a very hot topic among car users. The role of the coveted parking space, in a world where vehicles are increasingly connected, autonomous and aware of what is happening around them, is considered strategic in an evolved mobility ecosystem.

The greatest desire of Italian motorists (56% of the sample of interviewees) concerns the possibility of being driven to free seats, thus saving time and thus polluting even less. On the other hand, two innovations suggested by 36% of the survey participants: being able to count on automatic parking payment (automatic start / stop), and the possibility of booking parking spaces in advance, to be sure of finding a place at your destination. The analysis also shows that 20% of the sample hopes to soon be able to drive cars capable of parking alone, while 17% of respondents would like to have parking solutions integrated directly into the car.

Finally, among the reports collected (12%), we also find that relating to the hope of no longer having to worry about accounting for the expense reports of paper parking tickets, an aspect that weighs on the activities of companies and freelancers who use the car for work reasons.
