The movie “Yoko’s Confusion” is launched

Xi’an News Network reported on December 20 that the movie “Yoko’s Confusion” was officially launched in Yanjin County, Zhaotong, Yunnan. The reporter was informed that the film was produced by Qing Song, the chief programmer of the “Youth Film Manual”, directed by the young film director Li Jue, and starred by actors Huang Xiaolei and Tang Zeng.
The story revolves around the heroine’s daughter Yoko using a prank to open the mother’s secret box. A series of stories about deception and confession, growth and old age, reveal a three-generation family relationship lacking communication. The film focuses on the emotional exploration of the three angles of hometown, family, and family to show the tastes of life.
During the preparation of the film, the producer Chen Hong said: “The stories of ordinary mothers and daughters in small Chinese towns have Eastern philosophical features, and Western audiences can see how a woman who has a Western style of thinking because she goes out to work is here. Life and choices in this kind of relationship are interesting, fresh and unconventional creations, which are different from the gray, depression and suffering of most previous films describing Chinese family relations. We want to make this work more vivid, colorful, and a little humorous. It’s not sentimental and it has a long aftertaste.”
Li Jue, a director and screenwriter born and raised in Yunnan, chose his hometown as the prime location for the filming. He mentioned the original intention of his creation and said: “Because of the blessings of nature, Yunnan is a southern region exuding a lazy temperament. It reminds me of southern France. The comfortable quality of life in French films is also the world I want to build in the future. This story is the creative idea that arises when I go out with my family again after many years away from home. The alienation between the city and the country, the alienation between people, let The world is becoming more and more diverse and lacks communication.”
As the core protagonist of the film, Yu Meihui, actor Huang Xiaolei impressed the audience with her highly infectious smile and positive energy and sunshine. As an actor, it can be described as a changeable “drama throwing face”, painstakingly researched, and the role of plasticity is strong. In 2021, he won the honorary nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the Huading Award for the movie “The Crowd”. As the male protagonist of the film, Tang Zeng has gained the love of many audiences with his rare image of a low-pitched magnetic voice tough guy and his superb acting skills in recent years.
