The five-day light and shadow event centered on “Hesse·Digital·Fujian” and carried out six main activities including the launch ceremony, film awards, film forums, film screenings, film markets, and awards evenings.

That night, the launching ceremony of this year’s film festival was held in China’s first “Sea Silk Minyue” theme scenic spot-Minyue Water Town. On the stage of the “Fu Ship” shape, the saddle walls of Fuzhou’s Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Fu Rong, Fu Bridge, Fu Pagoda, Shuiyue Theater and other elements of Fujian capital were unveiled, creating a beautiful water visual landscape of the “Galaxy Silk Road”.

This year’s film festival set up the “Golden Silk Road Award” main competition unit awards for the first time. The jury will be formed by 13 well-known filmmakers at home and abroad, which will select the best film, best director, best new director, and best from more than 400 outstanding films from more than 40 countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.
