The Originals, the history of Renault in one click

by admin

ROME – The Renault range from the beginning to today as you have never seen it before. Just sit in front of a computer and navigate in the direction of The Originals, a new virtual museum able to drag the visitor into the history of the transalpine house.

Browsing the pages is very easy: you start from any of the cars featured on the site, such as the R5. Thanks to the use of photogrammetry, a new technique that uses 3D scanning, the car is reproduced in a particularly realistic way, to the point of giving those who sail an unprecedented immersive experience. To achieve this, Renault has created a special study where vehicles can be scanned in good light conditions.

Once the car has been admired far and wide, we move on to its history, explained in various flashes that appear by scrolling the pages of the site from right to left.

The Originals museum currently has 21 models, but the French house assures that there will be about fifty at the end of January, to reach 80 at the end of 2022.

“With this virtual gallery, we allow visitors to retrace our history, which is also theirs,” explains Arnaud Belloni, Renault’s Director of Global Marketing. “The world of the Renault brand is also reflected in the range of The Originals products, available in our brand new e-shop”.
