The Pitti Immagine fairs in attendance starting from the end of June, after the Milan fashion shows

by admin

Pitti Immagine reshapes the dates of the summer fashion shows in Florence, after the latest Covid decree law that allows the reopening of international fairs in physical format starting from 15 June. The Florentine company has decided to restart from Pitti Filati, which will be held from 28 to 30 June: a niche fair albeit highly creative, which in the golden age hosted a hundred brands, mostly Italian, and which this time will aim to have at least half of them in the new headquarters of the Station Leopolda, more “intimate” and fascinating with its post-industrial nature.

The fashion shift

On 30 June, the last day of Pitti Filati, Pitti Uomo will open – in the same location as the Fortezza da Basso – the most important men’s fashion show celebrating its hundredth edition, and Pitti Bimbo, the show that reflects the crisis of the sector and that will try to find new life. Both will end on July 2nd.

Perfumes at the end of summer

In September, from 17 to 19, the Fragranze salon dedicated to artistic perfumery will be held at the Stazione Leopolda.

Expectations

For Pitti Uomo the organizers aim to have at least 300 brands, against the 1,200 that exhibited pre-Covid collections (in the photo above, an image of the last Pitti Uomo in attendance, that of January 2020). It is difficult to predict the buyers who could be present, compared to 20-24 thousand pre-Covid. The new dates of the Pitti shows “are the result of an in-depth discussion with the international organizations of major fashion events – explains in a press release. to Raffaello Napoleone – and in particular with the Italian system, including the textile products halls, to avoid overlapping and build a calendar with a market logic ».

Milan fashion week

Also announce, from Chamber of Fashion, which organizes the Milan Weeks , the dates dedicated to men’s fashion shows and presentations: the next edition of the Milan Fashion Week Men’s Collection will take place from 18 to 22 June. Dates shared – reads a note – internationally with other fashion weeks. “Following the confirmation by the Government to be able to carry out, from June 15, events and fairs in physical format, we hope for a Fashion Week that includes both digital events and physical events with the presence of the public”, explained the Chamber of Fashion. The date of Milano Unica, the great textile fair held twice a year, is still uncertain.
