ROME – The long-term rental formula sees a growing curiosity on the part of young people and women, users divided almost halfway between private individuals and VAT numbers. These are the results of an elaboration by the Hurry Study Center, relating to 2021, on the composition of long-term rental users, starting from the analysis of the consultation of its web portal.

The observation of online searches has seen the prevalence of women who have now surpassed men and carefully evaluate alternative solutions to buying a car. From the personal point of view, those who consult the site the most and search for models to rent are the young user and in particular in the age group 25-34 years (24%), followed by those 35-44 years (23%) and 45- 54 years (17%). In the finalization of the contracts, however, the most adult users return to the head, i.e. those aged between 50 and 59 years (30%) followed by those between 40 and 49 years (23%).
Reversal in the face also in the gender proportion with 69% of men and 31% of women, among whom there is, however, a constantly increasing level of attention. In the analysis of the composition of users, 55% of VAT numbers prevail, with private individuals standing at 45%, while the confidence rate towards a completely online purchase is growing for all. A factor, the latter, which underlines how consumers feel more and more guaranteed and secure in proceeding with a remote transaction, appreciating quality such as convenience and speed.
The geolocation of contracts registers a predominance of the Roman market followed by the Milanese, Neapolitan and Turin ones. Finally, the Hurry Study Center also compiled the ranking of the most rented cars in 2021 and the Peugeot 2008 came first, followed by the Toyota C-HR, Fiat Panda, Mini Countryman and the Peugeot 3008. The top 5 he therefore sees the presence of different models and underlines how today the rental is a transversal and universal solution, capable of conquering a wide and diversified user.
