ROME – The future of the car is not just made up of autonomous driving and advanced technologies. A concrete example of the expansion of the range of action of the automotive sector comes from Lexus. The luxury brand of the Toyota group has launched “Virtual Interiors series”, an innovative collaboration with three famous designers to reinterpret the interior of the LF-Z Electrified, the concept that anticipates the future of the brand. But it is the next step to propel Lexus forward, with the launch of the collaboration with Shudu, the first virtual supermodel in the world, called to animate the virtual interiors of the prototype. The super model, born from the inspiration of Cameron-James Wilson (CEO of the first virtual modeling agency) was the ideal choice to create hyper-futuristic interiors, conceived by the digital artist Ondrej Zunka, exploring the spaces between reality and digital art.
Despite Zunka’s design featuring space-age devices, sci-fi materials and references to artificial intelligence, the human being is always placed at the center and so Shudu, elegantly seated in the driver’s seat of the reworked LF-Z Electrified by Zunka, adds. warmth and a human touch to virtual design. Shudu’s with the Japanese carmaker is not the only collaboration in the real world as he has contributed to the campaigns of Ferragamo, Christian Louboutin, Vogue Australia, Glamor Brasil and Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. Incidentally, this is his second collaboration with Lexus, following the 2020 “Freedom to Move” project, with the masks created by Nigerian architect Tosin Oshinowo and British textile designer Chrissa Amuah.
