Three Festivals, three different musical worlds. From the great classical music of the Bologna Festival, now in its 40th edition; in its mid-autumn it is divided, as usual, into a cycle dedicated to Baroque music and one aimed at great performers. In Venice, here are the notes of the 65th Festival of Contemporary Music, presented by the Venice Biennale; for ten years one of the places of international reflection on the new paths of Music. In Milan, however, the young artists of the Italian independent scene.
Bologna
On the 18th at the Teatro delle Celebrazioni, for the Bologna Festival, the pianist Yuja Wang and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, with two different programs, at 6 pm and 9 pm. In addition to the Great Performers, the Festival presents the review Il Nuovo L’Antico, which it opens on the 15th at the Oratory of S. Filippo Neri. The Festival continues until December 1st.

Milano
On 17-18 at the Circolo Magnolia, at the Idroscalo, the Mi Manchi, Ancora festival. A two-day event that was born again to fill the absence of the Mi Ami festival. Small but precious, tenacious and surprising, eager and hungry. Among the artists, Epoque, Iside, Margherita Vicario, Bluem, Emma Nolde, Tutti Fenomeni.
Venezia
From 17th to 26th the 65th Festival of Contemporary Music, entitled Choruses – Vocal dramaturgies. It takes place in various places in Venice and tends to highlight the Venetian musical tradition by linking it to contemporary compositional topicality. At the center of attention “the compositional treatment of the voice, starting from the monumental choral works of the last decades up to the dramaturgical explorations of the most recent vocal production”. The music of Kaija Saariaho, Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, opens at the Teatro La Fenice with the Theater ensembles.
