VENARIA. After years of announcements and proclamations, the city of Venaria Reale and the Royal Palace restart their collaboration, sanctioned by the recent return of the Municipality to the Consortium that manages the monumental complex, precisely on the occasion of Christmas. The president of the Consortium Michele Briamonte and the mayor of the Reale Fabio Giulivi, have in fact jointly invited the citizens for the late afternoon of today to the inauguration of «Immaginaria», the show-event that will welcome residents and tourists already in the square of the Torre dell ‘ Clock with suggestive animated projections for an exciting tale of lights and sounds set along the Borgo Antico and beyond, together with a full program of side events organized by the Via Maestra Foundation. It is a “site specific” show dedicated to the symbols of the city and its Royal Palace, promoted by the councilor for Culture and new director of the board of directors Marta Santolin with the involvement of the Kallipolis association, the writer Lorenzo Naia, the director Andrea Scoppetta and the same local community, starting from the little ones who provided the ideas for an unpublished and innovative story on the identity of the city. Furthermore, from December 26 to January 6, the Baroque rooms of the Royal Palace will be the setting for the magical Christmas atmosphere even in the evening: the Court of Honor with the Igloo by Mario Merz, the Galleria Grande, Juvarra’s masterpiece and the Chapel of Sant ‘Uberto with the historic King’s Nativity set up for the occasion, will host the public together with musical moments with a special discounted rate of 5 euros (1 euro for children aged 6 to 18 years), up to 9 pm on weekdays and up to at 10pm on weekends and holidays.
