VoiHotels, the hotel chain of the Alpitour group and Allegrini, a company specializing in the production of amenities, are launching a project that, starting from summer 2021, provides a natural and sustainable courtesy line in all Italian hotels of the leisure collection. A choice that will allow you to reduce waste, first and foremost the use of plastic in the structures of the group’s hotel chain.

VoiHotels has been committed for years to reducing its environmental impact, through a Gstc certification process, the elimination of single-use plastic, the use of 0 km and bio materials, as well as an awareness program aimed at its customers for a style of more sustainable life and which includes activities, information material and initiatives for the protection of the seas and nature. There social responsability has always guided the selection of partners, who stand out for a common vision: for this reason the hotel chain has joined forces with Allegrini to offer exclusively in all its Italian leisure facilities, the line of natural products DPlanet with the Voi brand Loves Earth.

The absolute protagonist of the project will be the innovative solid cosmetic developed by the Allegrini research center. DPlanet or “Do Not Disturb the Planet” is an ethical product, born from ingredients and oils of natural origin, without preservatives and silicones, without water, dermatologically tested and vegan. It is precisely the absence of water that allows the product to be kept intact, preserving it from microorganisms, reducing its size and cutting waste even during transport.

Solid cosmetics are in fact designed to be eco-friendly solutions, with the appearance of a tablet that, upon contact with water, releases the effects of a delicate liquid hand soap or a shower gel for a regenerating shower, gratifying in addition to the body, the mind, for a future free from plastic. A sustainable choice that will allow VoiHotels to save an average of over 2,800 kg of plastic, including bottles, dispensers and canisters, necessary for the courtesy line of its structures in Italy.

Furthermore, from the Lca (Life Cycle Assessment) study conducted by Allegrini it emerged that, in terms of packaging, production and transport, solid cosmetics have a lesser impact on the environment than the quantitative equivalent of the traditional “liquid” version, with a 73% reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere circa.
