A stunt cost very dear to a 19-year-old Milanese boy who broke both legs. The young man together with some friends, at least eight, entered shortly after 1.30 am on Monday 28 June in the courtyard of the Zero Gravity gym, at number 48 in via Valvassori Peroni, climbing over the fences. The structure was closed at that time, but the young people were able to access the outdoor area and they positioned themselves on some trampolines. Here, while they jumped in groups on the same carpet, the 19-year-old crashed by rebound.
The 118 intervention was immediate, transporting the wounded to the Niguarda in red code. Not life threatening, but medical tests found a fractured tibia and fibula in both legs. On the spot also the agents of the general prevention office of the police headquarters who are dealing with the investigations.
Francesco Pisani, director of Zero Gravity, reports on the affair: The boys climbed over two fences illegally entering the outdoor area, where there are trampolines. They used the carpets inappropriately, jumping in several people at the same time on the same platform. A stunt that cost the boy dearly, to whom we send wishes for a speedy recovery but also the recommendation not to enter protected and forbidden places at night. The boys entered illegally caused material damage to the equipment and the structure and for this reason the activity will be legally protected, also for the relative damage to its image in an already very difficult period in which gyms are trying to recover after the stop to the activity imposed by the pandemic.
