Apple has released an updated version of “iOS 15.5” to iPhone users to patch a number of security vulnerabilities. The well-known foreign YouTuber “iAppleBytes” also tested the battery life and Geekbench performance scores of various iPhones after upgrading to the latest version.
The actual measurement results show that among the eight iPhone models, the battery life of the older models has been significantly improved, including: iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. Compared with the previous “iOS 14”, these three old models version, the battery life is improved by about 13 minutes.

What is more surprising is that after the iPhone 12 launched in 2020 and the iPhone 11 launched in 2019, after these two old phones were upgraded to the new version of “iOS 15.5”, the power of the mobile phone did not rise but fell, and the decline was the same as the previous “iOS 14”. For comparison, the iPhone 12 slipped for about 24 minutes, and the iPhone 11 slipped for about 15 minutes.
