the new cases of Covid in Italy (yesterday there were 53,662, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 12.427.773
the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 252
(yesterday 314), for a total of 152,848 victims from February 2020.

People recovered or discharged they are altogether 10.905.147 e 84.767 those that have become negative in the last 24 hours (yesterday 87,472). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in everything 1.369.778equal to -34.344 compared to yesterday (-34,086 the day before).

The swabs and the scenario

I total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 492.045, or 18,238 less than yesterday when it was 510,283. The almost stable rate of positivity at 10.3% (the approximation of 10.27%); yesterday it was 10.5%.

Less infections in 24 hours than yesterday. The downward trend of the curve continuesas the comparison with last Saturday (February 12) – the same day of the week – shows when they were recorded +62,231 almost with a rate of 10.6%: today, in fact, there are fewer new infections than that day, with a slightly lower percentage (10.3% against 10.6%). Just look at the graph.

There are four regions that have over 5,000 newly infected: Lazio (+5.583 cases), Sicily (+5.504 cases), Lombardy (+5.231) and Campania (+5.053).

The victims

There are 252 victims in the bulletin against 314 yesterday. At least 25 previous deaths were included in the count: 23 from Sicily and two from Campania, as the notes indicate. Only the Valle d’Aosta reports zero bereavement, while the highest number of deaths in Lombardy (49).

The health system

For the twelfth consecutive day, hospital stays in each area decrease. The beds occupied in ordinary Covid wards I’m -561 (yesterday -614), for a total of 13,387 hospitalized. The beds occupied in intensive care (TI) are -34 (yesterday -50) – this is the balance between the people who left and those who entered ICU -, bringing the total of the most seriously ill patients to 953with 76 admissions to resuscitation (yesterday 52).
