A professional within reach of an app: TaskRabbit arrives in Italy

by admin

TaskRabbit, the global network that connects those who need a hand for work inside and outside the home with competent and reliable taskers, has recently been available throughout Lazio and Milan. Over 3,000 self-employed workers have signed up to offer their services: there are 40 categories available, from furniture assembly to gardening, from cleaning to small home repairs. Italy is the first country to have the higher percentage of women enrolled in the launch of the platform: 850 (28%). Last year, more than 1 million customers used the platform, they were booked well 1.7 million tasks and the taskers have earned more 84 million euros. Taskers are real self-employed workers: they set their rates, indicate their availability and collect 100% of the hourly cost and tips received.

TaskRabbit allows subscribers to build a business or simply to earn a little more in the face of an easy and transparent site navigation that allows you to book tasks quickly and easily. “We are thrilled to present TaskRabbit in Italy, because this country has a strong sense of belonging to the community and a tradition of neighbors helping each other, an ethos perfectly in line with our values, “he said Ania Smith, CEO of TaskRabbit. “In fact, over the past decade, TaskRabbit has helped hundreds of thousands of people connect with knowledgeable and reliable taskers in their area. But above all, we are pleased to help offer new job opportunities for the local economy in a time of global crisis caused by Covid-19 ”.

The US startup, which presented the “Tasks for Good” volunteer program during the pandemic, makes this initiative available in Italy from the day of its launch, so that vulnerable organizations and individuals can have easy access to volunteer taskers who safely offer essential services at no cost.

Italy is the eighth country in which TaskRabbit makes its services available. The network is already accessible in thousands of cities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, France, Germany and Portugal. The platform owned by INGKA Group (IKEA) is now available in Milan and Rome with an app and a website: IKEA customers in these two cities can request the furniture assembly services provided by TaskRabbit directly in the IKEA stores in Milan (Corsico, Carugate and San Giuliano Milanese) and Rome (Porta di Roma, Gregorio VII, San Silvestro and Anagnina) and through their e-commerce.

Taskers are available to help IKEA customers with furniture assembly within one day of purchase, as well as for numerous services such as gardening or measurement taking. To find and book a tasker in your area, just visit the TaskRabbit website or download the TaskRabbit app for iOS or Android.
