Acea, ready to support the vaccination plan coordinated by the Ministry of Health

Rome, April 9 – (beraking latest news) – Acea, in order to make its contribution to the acceleration of the anti Covid-19 vaccination plan, coordinated by the Ministry of Health, made itself available to institutions, starting from the Lazio Region, in support of the actions implemented field from the Government. In particular, we read in a note, the Company has made available two company offices in the capital in which it is possible to create vaccination hubs that would allow administrations to be made to the civilian population, as well as to employees, for a total of about 2000 doses. per day.

The “La Fornace” Congress Center, located in the Tor di Valle area, is easily reachable from the Grande Raccordo Anulare and from the center of Rome. The area made available to regional health facilities is approximately 1700 square meters and the vaccination capacity could reach up to 1000 doses per day. The company is also setting up a second vaccination hub at the corporate “Autoparco” in piazzale Ostiense, which will be completed by the end of April. The area dedicated to the administrations will be more contained but with an operation of 7 days a week and with scheduled shifts of 12, 16 or even 24 hours, it will allow to reach up to 1000 doses per day.

Acea is equipping the aforementioned areas to receive and administer all types of vaccines currently available in Italy, including Pfizer-Biontech, which provides for a stringent dose conservation protocol, thanks to the availability of special refrigerators that allow doses to be stored while maintaining temperatures of conservation even down to -90 °, thus guaranteeing the management of the cold chain.

Since the beginning of the health emergency, Acea has implemented concrete actions to guarantee the safety of its employees and citizens and at the same time maintain full operational efficiency. These include, for example, the more than 5,000 serological tests, swabs and rapid salivary tests carried out as part of the prevention of health and safety in the workplace. Furthermore, since the beginning of the health emergency, Acea has insured over 15,000 employees and family members with a specific Covid policy. All this has made it possible to obtain the “Biosafety Trust” (Rina) certification, in recognition of the actions implemented in managing the risk of infection, including that from Covid-19.
