“The Guide was born with the aim of being able ensure the well-being of equines and thus ensure that these cultural and traditional events, while respecting animals, are not lost over time, but rather They are adapting to the new times from respect and commitment, always prioritizing the well-being of the participating animals,” added the general director of Agriculture and Livestock of the Department.

The Guide contemplates a detailed description of the recommended actions and requirements during the preparation and celebration to guarantee the smooth development of the event. In this sense, the general director of Environmental Policies and Natural Environment, Marc Vilahur has also argued that “we are moving towards a model that ensures the durability of traditional festivals accompanying all the agents involved so that together we all adapt to the needs of animal welfare of our society who go through respect and care for their physical and emotional well-being.”
