Amazon’s virtual assistant is unable to respond to user requests in Italy and other European countries. Who has made a request and has been answered “There was a problem”therefore, it has no connection problems: it is a widespread malfunction, as reported by several users on Twitter and as the Downdetector site underlines. In England, for example, the first reports of Alexa problems came around 7 am.
Apparently the virtual assistant is regularly connected to the wi-fi network of the homes but is unable to perform its functions through voice commands. This would be demonstrated by the fact that, if desired, you can still use Alexa as a wireless speaker to listen to music: if you play a song on Spotify for example, and choose to listen to it on an Echo Dot or an Echo Show, the operation is successful.
