Alzheimer’s, discovery of the molecule that slows down the disease

Administered through the nose, a molecule is able to prevent the accumulation of beta amyloid plaques in the brain of animal models. The discovery, which represents a turning point in the study of Alzheimer’s, is attributable to a group of Italian researchers, belonging to the Carlo Besta Neurological Institute Foundation, in collaboration with colleagues from the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research.
