A useful project on several fronts
Stefano Peroncini, CEO of the venture capital Eureka! Venture Sgr, which manages the Eureka! Fund I – Technology Transfer, investor in Inta has no doubts about the future prospects of this “hi-tech” project, even in very different sectors: “The researchers have developed the prototype of an innovative diagnostic tool, the so-called lab-on- chip, for the analysis of fluids with characteristics such as being truly portable, non-invasive and with numerous applications in various fields including biomedical, safety, industry 4.0 and food-analysis. Moreover, the same tool can also be used to detect other so-called “bio-analytes”, such as viruses and bacteria. So I would say a project very much in line with the times of the pandemic. We will soon announce a third important closing of the Eureka fund! I for over 11 million euros, thanks to new institutional investors, which will allow us to well exceed the initial funding target we had of 50 million euros ».
The spinoff was founded in April 2020 by an excellent team composed of Matteo Agostini, PhD in Molecular biophysics, researcher at Scuola Normale Superiore, Marco Cecchini, PhD in Condensed Matter Physics first researcher of Cnr-Nano, and Marco Calderisi, PhD in Metabolomics, with the aim of revolutionizing the world of high precision portable diagnostics.
