Animals in the city, there is still little attention to their welfare

We are still a long way from being able to guarantee animal welfare, although the concept of One Health manifests itself as fundamental for our survival. To underline limitations and shortcomings is the X national report of Legambiente: ‘Animals in the city’, from which emerges a picture of Italy that is still very backward: few sterilizations of dogs and cats, the scourge of wandering animals, abandoned or left free to circulate putting their lives and that of others at risk, the failure to implement regulations that would favor coexistence.
