The survey agency Appfigures recently released a survey and found that one month after the introduction of the ATT regulation, the App Store’s apps had dropped by 420,000.

In April, Apple announced the adoption of a new privacy policy “App Tracking Transparency (ATT)”. App developers must obtain the user’s permission to track their user activities. Recently, an investigative agency issued a report stating that the number of apps in the App Store, an app platform under Apple, has fallen by 420,000 apps in just three months, and the reason for disappearance may be that apps do not comply with Apple’s ATT regulations.

According to Forbes, the investigative agency Appfigures recently released a survey and found that one month after the introduction of the ATT restrictions, the App Store’s Apps had dropped significantly by 420,000, accounting for 21% of the total number of apps. Ariel Michaeli, Chief Executive Officer of Appfigures, said that before the launch of ATT, the number of apps in the App Store will increase by 1 to 2% every month.

The investigation agency pointed out that most of the 420,000 apps that were removed this time may be because the developers did not update them in time, or ignored or were too lazy to pay attention to relevant regulations. According to another source, some apps are made by amateur developers. And there are applications supported by a large number of user groups, so even if they did not follow the ATT regulations, they have not been removed.
