Are the NFTs dead? Long live the NFTs

by admin

According to data from NonFungible.com, over the past 30 days the NFT market has marked sales of over $ 1.5 billion, involving almost 100,000 wallets and 500,000 sales. On average, therefore, between the primary and secondary markets, each NFT was sold for almost $ 3,500.

It is therefore a falling market? According to some, yes, but perhaps only in the art world and perhaps not even in that.

Crypto Arte vs Collectibles
After great shot of Beeple, which in March 2021 had sold one of his works in the form of NFT for as much as 69 million dollars, the boom of non-fungible tokens had started, especially in the artistic field.

Over time, these large numbers of the crypto art sector have declined and many already considered the NFT phenomenon for dead. But, in reality, the month of August was a great month of relaunch and thanks to the so-called collectibles the sales records were again broken.

The collectibles are digital collectible goods, similar to soccer cards that all of us have collected at one time or another in life. Each of them has a different rarity and therefore a different price. Unlike crypto art, there is therefore no real artistic value, but it is still digital collectible objects.

Also according to the data of NonFungible.com, to score the August record it is the Crypto Punk, the Art Blocks and the Bored Ape, while the other sectors have not even reached half the values sold by the collectibles.

The latest entries and NFT world records
Not for nothing, even a giant like Lamborghini is entering the world of Non Fungible Tokens. In particular, the heirs of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the creator of the famous automobile brand, have decided to entrust the creation of artistic NFTs dedicated to its history to the Elysium Bridge platform. Next September 25th, artists of the caliber of Giovanni Motta, Matteo Mauro and Emanuele Dascanio will help create these NFTs which will be auctioned.

A few weeks ago also the footballer Lionel Messi, winner of the Ballon d’Or, had put his NFTs up for sale on the Ethernity platform and these, in a few days, reached 6 zero figures.

Messi and Lamborghini are just the latest to join the crypto world: fashion brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Formula 1, Coca Cola, Pringles, Adidas, Shopify and many others have decided to create or otherwise enter the NFT industry in some way.

A market therefore that it does not seem to stop, despite the detractors they still think it’s just a passing bubble.
