Keeping your body fit is certainly not an easy task, especially when the load of commitments does not allow us to find the right time. When we age advances, our body’s reactivity is no longer what it used to be and staying toned seems like a mirage.

However, with a little commitment and perseverance, it is possible to continue to hone the body at any age.

Today, however, we will devote ourselves to the imperfections of the time which, unfortunately, arrived at the threshold of 50 years.

These concern the unsightly expression lines on the forehead and face and the dreaded sagging neck skin. However, it is possible to have toned and supple neck skin at the age of 50 and 60 by following these simple steps.

Loose neck skin

First of all, it is worth mentioning that posture also affects the sagging skin of the neck. A “hunched” posture brings the head and neck forward, increasing the loose skin effect.

Having made this premise, let’s start with the exercises that will involve the sternocleidomastoid, ie the external muscles of the neck. Let’s sit on the ground with our legs crossed while keeping our back straight. We will bend the head sideways first to the right then to the left helping us to stretch our neck with our hands, maintaining the position for 30 seconds. At the end of this exercise, instead of bending the head we will rotate it first on one side and then on the other always to keep the skin in tension. Finally, always keeping the back straight, we move the head back until we feel the front skin of the neck pulling. We repeat these exercises 10 times, 30 seconds for one.

Let’s now pass to the forehead and expression lines. Regarding the latter, an effective exercise is to stretch the lips forward, as if to give a kiss. We hold this position for 15 seconds and then slowly return to the starting position with the lips. Once this is done, we open our mouths as if we were first to pronounce an “O” and then an “A”. Therefore we will widen and tighten the mouth making the skin of the cheeks more toned.

Finally, to tone the forehead and eyelid area, we will frown for 10 seconds, then relax by raising the eyebrows slowly. Again, the exercises should be repeated 10 times for 15 seconds.
