AtBorgotaro hospital in fact, from the next 9 Marchit will be possible to carry out investigations magnetic resonance imaging even on days of Saturdaythanks to collaboration between professionals of the “Santa Maria”dell’Maggiore hospital of Parma andhospital Of Vaio. In this way it will be possible to make the best use of this latest generation equipment, capable of providing particularly accurate and detailed images. Every Saturday the MRI rooms of theRadiology and diagnostic imaging operational unit of the Valtarese structure will in fact be active from 8am to 6pm, with dedicated operators. In addition to the staff on duty to guarantee radiological emergencies, they will be present medical radiology healthcare technicians and nurses of the Maggiore hospital who will perform the MRIs, while the images will be reported by radiologists coming from the Fidentina structure.

This is a significant one implementation of diagnostic activity, able to make available to the population sixteen additional tests each week.

Fabi’s words were echoed by the director of the Valli Taro and Ceno district of the ASL Giuseppina Rossi who also added how much “the implementation of the offer of magnetic resonance imaging in Borgotaro represents a further commitment by the two provincial health authorities to reduce waiting times for specialist services. This is an aspect – Rossi continued – of particular importance for the entire district territory and beyond.”

The diagnostic imaging activity is only the latest discipline, in chronological order, which has benefited from theintegration between professionals of the three hospitals in the province of Parma: at the “Santa Maria” courses are already active endocrine surgery, wall surgery, eye surgery e dermatological.
