All united against violence against women. The Modena Local Health Authority also joins the international campaign ‘One Billion Rising – Stand up for freedom’, in particular with various initiatives in the Districts of Pavullo and Vignola, organized by Municipalities, local schools, walking groups and voluntary associations.
Flash mobs, walks, meetings and theatrical performances will characterize the day of February 14thand the following days, with the aim of raising even more community awareness on the topic and generating a sense of participation and common commitment.
To Paul, a demonstration against violence organized by the students of the ‘Cavazzi’ and ‘Marconi’ institutes is planned within their courtyards in the Pavullo and Pievepelago campuses. In addition to children and teachers, the director of the Pavullo health district, Massimo Brunetti, and the operators of the anti-violence center will be present at the event. For the occasion, a mega-sheet will be displayed where anyone can leave their signature and a phrase to raise awareness on the issue of violence against women.
February 17th instead, a walk is planned – with free access and without reservation – organized by the ‘Cammina Frignano’ group with meeting at 3pm at the Pavullo airport car park.
Various initiatives are also planned in Vignola district:
on February 14that 10.15 am in the municipal park of Savignano sul Panaro, a flash-mob organized by the ‘G.Graziosi’ and ‘P.Levi’ schools will be held.
At 11.30 a new red bench will be inaugurated at the ‘LAMuratori’ school in Vignola. Also on the 14th, in Zocca the video on the flash mob created by the Municipality of Zocca with the local Asd will be screened (and spread on municipal social networks) inside the Istituto comprensivo Martiri della Libertà.
February 16th, at 9pm at the Teatro La Venere in Savignano, you can attend the show ‘I monologi della vagina’ whose proceeds will go to the Modena Odv House of Women against Violence. At the opening, the presentation of the photographic exhibition ‘Fragili Oppressioni’ is scheduled.
February 17tho a walk is scheduled starting at 2pm from the car park of the Vignola Swimming Center and arriving at 3pm at the Marano River park, which for the occasion will be set up with artefacts created by local associations. Also in the park, a flash mob will be held at 3.15pm to the tune of ‘Break the chain’, returning to Vignola at 4.15pm. The local authorities, the mayor of Vignola Emilia Muratori, the Director of the District of Vignola Federica Casoni, the local associations and walking groups will be present at the event.
