The doctor Barbara Balanzoni, known for its “no vax” positions and very critical of the pandemic management by the government, was expelled from the Venice Medical Association. The news was reported by herself on Twitter, in a series of tweets in which she replied to the allegations of the order and published the names of the doctors who had disbarred her.
The motivations
According to the Order of Doctors of Venice the Dr. Balanzoni in his role as a doctor and “abusing the credibility that his professional status attributed to him”, he assumed, with “extremely violent and aggressive tones”, a position of complete and total rejection of all pandemic management, from the vaccination campaign to the use of green pass, reads the document, dated May 3, 2022.
Another serious accusation: according to the Order of Doctors of Venice, Balanzoni would have “insulted without any restraint, using vulgar and scurrilous phrases and words”.
In addition, “she declared to take care of people at home” but she never bothered, according to the Order, to bring to the evidence of scientific community the results of his work.
Doctor no vax’s reaction
“I do not care”: these are the words of the doctor disbarred from the order, who then published the official communication with the names of the doctors in the commission, stating: “Here are the heroes.” The tussle is unleashed on Twitter, with thousands of users commenting for and against the news of the cancellation from the order of Barbara Balanzoni.
“There were two possibilities. Become a killer or fight not to be. I chose the latter. Point. Don’t be sorry. The alternative was to bow to Nazi medicine, ”she said on Twitter.

Born in Crevalcore (Bologna), graduated in medicine and surgery in Bologna in 1999, subsequently specialized in Anesthesia and resuscitation in Verona in 2004, Balanzoni was enrolled in the Venice Register and is known for her no vax and critical positions towards the management of the pandemic.
He worked abroad in Kosovo, as a medical officer of the Italian contingent in 2012, and in Afghanistan, as an anesthetist for Doctors Without Borders, in 2013.
