There will be 748 participants in the selection for admission of 90 candidates to the Master’s Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery of the Lum “Giuseppe Degennaro” University, which will be held on Wednesday 15 September, at the Fiera del Levante in Bari.
“The candidates come from our Region and the South, but also from other parts of Italy, in particular Lazio, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna – explains the general director of Lum, Antonella Rago – The choice of Fiera del Levante as the venue for the competition appeared the most appropriate, due to the high number of participants. ” Access to the competition venue will be allowed from 8 am only to candidates with a green pass. The measures to prevent the spread of the infection from Covid-19 will be maintained inside the dedicated pavilion: temperature detection at the entrance, spacing, mandatory use of the FFP2 mask, use of a sanitizing solution and definition of an obligatory path of entry and exit from the structure. The room will be divided into five areas, in order to facilitate the surveillance work of the LUM staff present with an adequate number of units.
The Examination Commission, chaired by Professor Bruno Moncharmont, will be composed of five teachers and an administrative manager. “We are very satisfied with the response of the candidates – continues Rago – the ratio between students enrolled in the test and places in the competition places us above the national average, a sign of interest in our new Degree Course, designed taking into account the current requests of the sanitary system”. The single-cycle degree course in Medicine and Surgery of the Free Mediterranean University is divided into six years and is carried out through the partnership with the Regional General Hospital “F. Miulli ”of Acquaviva delle Fonti. The anonymous correction of the test will be carried out by Cineca and by 22 September the merit ranking, drawn up in order of score, will be published on the university website.
