As a result, farmers are increasingly producing eggs from non-cage or battery-reared hens. However, this is a fairly large number.

How do you know where the hens that produced our eggs are raised? Just look at the code stamped on the shell. The “0” marks organic farming where the hens have a lot of outdoor space. The “1” indicates an outdoor farm, but with half the space. The “2” indicates a free-range house indoors, but not in a cage. Lastly, the “3” which indicates, a breeding in cages and batteries. In addition, on the packaging we could find written: “The production process does not include the use of antibiotics”.
