The University of Huelva Opens Bidding Period for Teaching Material for New Degree in Medicine

The University of Huelva has announced that it has opened the bidding period for the supply of teaching material specifically for the delivery of the Degree in Medicine, which is set to begin in September. The material will be necessary for teaching subjects such as Biology and Embryology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Medical Physics of the Degree in Medicine. These courses are expected to be implemented in the Faculty of Experimental Sciences of the UHU for the academic year 2024-25.

The budget for the supply of the necessary equipment is 182,590.00 euros, and interested companies can submit their bids until April 29. The equipment will be used to teach small groups related to the aforementioned subjects, all belonging to Module I of the Degree in Medicine, which focuses on the morphology, structure, and function of the human body.

The equipment will cover practical exercises related to various topics such as bioelectric phenomena, fluid biophysics, identification of biomolecules, and genetic transformation. The candidates for the tender will be evaluated based on the technical characteristics, quality, features, and functionalities of the equipment they offer.

The new degree in Medicine is a project that excites the university community and the society of Huelva. The university assures that the only thing left to start the program is the purchase of the necessary material, which is being tendered to ensure that deadlines are met. The new degree is expected to be taken by around 65 students in the first year and will be taught on the UHU’s Carmen Campus starting in September.
