How much and how Covid-19 will change our lives, as has been said and often repeated, we will find out, little by little. One thing, however, we can already say: the pandemic has radically transformed the collaboration between scientists working in industry and those active in universities and research institutes. Only thanks to this unprecedented collaboration have we been able to achieve explosive results: 16 vaccines approved around the world and many others in development, potentially effective drugs, and a knowledge of the characteristics and modes of action of the virus which, with other vectors in past, it had taken years.
