There is a new electric scooter from Xiaomi intended (also) for the Italian market: it’s called Electric Scooter 4 Pro, and was unveiled by the company in Paris together with other products linked together by the fact that they belong in some way to the so-called Internet of Things.

A new electric scooter
It was presented last, but we talk about it first because this scooter is important, and it is important because it collects an important legacy: in the autumn of 2019, the first Electric Scooter of the Chinese manufacturer also opened a market in Italy that has never stopped growing since then, even with the involuntary help of the two years of pandemic, which have further amplified the needs for mobility personal. The new 4 Pro version has 700W motor, 12,400mAh battery, can cover up to 45 kilometers on one charge and overcome slopes up to 20%. Longer, wider and taller than the previous models (but with an aluminum structure, so it didn’t seem heavier to us), it has 10 ”tubeless tires and a double rear disc braking system.
Also retouched upwards price: the one for Europe starts from 799 euros, against 5-600 for the models currently on sale; It is still not clear if it will be confirmed for Italy, and especially when the new Electric Scooter 4 Pro will arrive in our country.
Xiaomi’s first transformable notebook
The other important novelty, unveiled during an event attended by journalists from all over Europe, is the Book S, the 2-1 laptop that marks the first collaboration between Microsoft and Xiaomi: it has a touchscreen LCD da 12,4”with a maximum brightness of 500 nit and a resolution of 2560×1600, it can be equipped with a keyboard with magnetic attachment and equipped with a Smart Pen.
In short: it is somehow the answer to the Surface, it has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8CX Gen 2, 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera and Windows 11 operating system; on sale from 30 June, it costs 699,99 euro, a figure that in the first 48 hours (for those who buy on mi.com) also includes keyboard and 65W charger. Otherwise, the Keyboard costs 149.99 euros, for the Xiaomi Cover you need 29.99 euros and for the Smart Pen 99.99 is enough.
