Brain stroke: how to recognize symptoms and how to prevent

by admin

Cerebral stroke affects 150,000 Italians every year. There are about one million survivors, with more or less disabling results. It is essential to intervene as early as possible, recognizing the symptoms immediately. The Association for the Fight against Cerebral Stroke (ALICe) describes them. The World Stroke Organization wanted, for this 2021 edition, to turn the spotlight on the theme of prevention, launching the hashtag #DontBeTheOne: “One in four people will suffer from a stroke in their lifetime, don’t be that person”, underlining the fact that as much as 80% of all strokes can be avoided, starting with the identification of the risk factors on which each of us can intervene and doing prevention.
