By losing a real Andy Warhol drawing among 999 fakes, someone got a great deal

by admin

The Brooklyn art collective Mschf replicated a pen sketch made by Andy Warhol in 1954 with a robotic arm. They then mixed the original with 999 identical copies, forever losing the chance to identify it. Both the original and the 999 copies sold for $ 250 a piece for a profit of $ 250,000. Buyers will never know if they received the original Andy Warhol, but they will have a 0.1% chance of owning it.
