Activision has announced the postponement of the second seasons of Call of Duty: Pacific Theater and Call of Duty: Pioneer. Now expected to arrive 12 days later on February 14th instead of February 2nd, the extension has been set so that the developers can “continue to balance and optimize your gaming experience, which remains our top priority.”
In a blog post, it also stated, “We have deployed many updates so far, but there is still more work to be done. Therefore, we have decided to combine Call of Duty: Pacific Theater and Call of Duty: Vanguard. The start of season 2 has been rescheduled to February 14.” It’s also clearly stated about how the extra time will be used.
“We will use this additional development time to deliver updates that include optimizing gameplay, game balance (including weapon and gear balance), fixing game stability and bugs, and ensuring overall polish levels to improve Call of Duty: Vanguard “, Pacific Theater, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warzone players.”
This is all part of an update that Activision has confirmed will be “adjusting the core game loop, mechanics and balance” in the overall CoD experience. The publisher also noted fan frustration with older CoD games, which dropped in quality as new iterations of the series debuted. Speaking of which, Activision says it will “continuously improve your gaming experience” and expects to make it public and issue “more frequent and detailed communication updates.”
