The investment, through the Neva First fund, bears the signature of Neva Sgr, the venture capital of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group focused on innovative companies, and is worth a capital increase of 5 million euros. Benefiting from this operation is Xnext, a startup born in 2014 specialized in the field of solutions for real-time quality controls in the industrial sector and which has come to the fore for the various national and international awards, including the European grant of 2.3 million euros obtained (in 2019) under the European Horizon2020 program.
The new liquidity, as stated in a note, will be destined to finance the expansion on an international scale and to guarantee the continuity of the evolution process of the patented XSpectra technology, born in 2011 and main component of the “X-ray multi- energy ”which boasts end-of-line installations in the food tech sector in some tortellini, cheese, spreadable cream and biscuit production plants in Italy and France. Its declared plus? The ability to detect any non-conformities of products not otherwise detectable, such as low density foreign bodies.
Understandable, for the positive conclusion of the operation, the satisfaction of the CEO and co-founder of Xnext, Bruno Garavelli, who spoke of a key step for the industrial and commercial development of the Milanese company, also for the possibility of accessing the network of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. With the entry into the shareholding of Neva Sgr, the transformation into a Spa will also be initiated in view of what is the final objective, namely the listing on the Stock Exchange.
