HUNDRED. Classrooms and gymnasium at Isit Bassi Burgatti, the Province opens up to discussion. This was announced yesterday, in conjunction with the protest, accompanied by a collection of signatures, raised by the parents of the students to ask for more classrooms available to the ISIT boys, in addition to the use of the new gym built next to the school.
In a note, the Province makes some clarifications, starting with a fact: “The letter signed by the head of the School service of the administration based in Castello Estense, addressed to the Parents Committee, Provincial School Office, municipal and school director of the Bassi Burgatti institute, which ends with the availability for a meeting ».
HOT TOPICS
There are two points on which the Province wants to clarify: “The increase in enrollments accepted by ISIT compared to the number of classrooms available, led the Province to provide already last year with an extraordinary intervention on the three-year use plan of the spaces . Commitment materialized in 5 additional classrooms made available to Bassi Burgatti. However, these are not sufficient compared to the current request of 11 ». And then: “The supply of spaces in terms of school buildings cannot be increased with the same timing of the enrollment trend, not to mention that the 5 extra classrooms have been made available by the Province, subtracting them from other schools”.
On the gymnasium theme: «Of the three high schools in Cento, only Bassi Burgatti has a gym, while the Iis Taddia does not have one, while the one provided by the Cevolani high school was obtained by combining two classrooms. Given the unavailability of the municipal sports hall, the principle adopted for the allocation of existing sports facilities, together with the use of additional solutions (Giovannina gym, tennis and swimming pool) to overcome the lack of facilities available in the area, seemed the most reasonable criterion for contain as much as possible the transfer times from classroom to gymnasium and allow the most efficient use of physical education hours ».
OPENING TO THE DIALOGUE
At the same time, the commitment of the Province is to continue “with the confrontation initiated with the University, the Municipality and the Schools, in order to meet the educational needs of the Cento school population as much as possible, but to confuse the structural difficulties, moreover to always make them compatible with the resources available, with simply negative answers, if not absent, does not correspond to the reality of the facts “.
