“Climate: civil aviation is not doing enough”

Despite the suspended and reduced flights during the pandemic, and despite the commitment to reduce harmful emissions, the impact of civil aviation on climate change is unlikely to be able to maintain the objectives set by the Paris agreements. This was stated by a study by scientists from the University of Birmingham, published in the journal Nature Communications.

According to statistics, aviation contributes about 2% to global emissions that overheat the atmosphere creating the greenhouse effect.
