The outbreak of contagion has widened inside of the medical department of the “Beato Angelo” of Acri. After the two nurses tested positive for the virus in the past week, three other cases have registered in the last few hours and have affected two members of the nursing staff and a patient who after the infection was transferred to the covid-19 ward of the acrese hospital. The other patients admitted to the same ward were discharged only after the negative results of the swabs.
In the meantime, the department will be closed until Monday to allow the sanitation of the premises. Among the problems that have arisen, also that of the working shifts of the health workers themselves. With the four positives, only five nurses would remain available and therefore, without new grafts, they would be called to do the work of twelve.
