Comparison Between the PS5 and Xbox Series X Versions of Rider 2077 – Cyberpunk 2077

Last week, Power Rider 2077 finally rolled out an update exclusively for Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. Now the pros over at Digital Foundry have taken their toes and compared the two versions of the latest generation of home consoles to see which one is better and some of the differences between the two.

As it turns out, using performance mode to get 60 fps, the Playstation 5 was running Rebel 2077 at dynamic resolutions ranging from 1260p to 1728p. The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, uses the same mode, running the game at a slightly higher resolution dynamic from 1382p to 1782p. Digital Foundry adds that the two versions are “cleaner, sharper, and more impressive overall,” so that seems like good news for everyone.

When it comes to frame rates, the Playstation 5 has the upper hand. Even though “both consoles are largely tied together, locked to the 60fps line in nearly every test,” on the Xbox Series X, some particularly heavy scenes could see framerates drop by 5 -10 frames. Fortunately, they also add that “the VRR support of the Xbox Series X does an excellent job of masking the performance degradation that the console does exist”.

Finally, also measure the load time. The Playstation 5 took 13.36 seconds to boot in the test, while the Xbox Series X took 12.55 seconds, which is slightly faster than the former.

Have you ever played “Dian Yu Ren Ke 2077”? Which version did you play with?
