According to foreign media reports, Apple will have a new internal policy for repairs. In the future, if the mobile phone sent by consumers for repair is marked as “lost” by the repair personnel in the MobileGenius or GSX system, and the repairer cannot turn off “Lost Mode” , Apple Store or authorized repair center will refuse to repair, hoping to reduce the chance of iPhone being stolen through this policy, it is not yet confirmed whether it is a global policy or a specific region. Currently repairing at the Apple Store also requires turning off “Find My iPhone”, if it cannot be turned off, it cannot be repaired.

If the phone is really lost accidentally, don’t cry yet! Officially, there are several ways to find it. On other Apple devices that you own, you can check the location through the “Find” App. However, the probability of recovery is usually not high. For self-protection, you can directly mark the lost device as “lost”, remotely lock the lost device through a password, and disable Apple Pay on the lost device. Then the public still needs to report the case, and the report will require the IMEI/MEID number of the mobile phone, which can be found on the outer box of the mobile phone, or found on other Apple devices that they own.
