Covid: Altems, Puglia in the lead for new vaccination hubs

Rome, 30 April (beraking latest news Salute) – Centers where it is possible to get vaccinated against Covid-19 in Italy are growing. With some regional differences. In the last seven days, the Puglia region has activated a significant number of administration points (29) followed by Lazio (12), Tuscany (8) and Piedmont (7). On the contrary, in Basilicata, Campania, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, the Autonomous Province of Trento, Sardinia and Valle D’Aosta there are no new points of administration. This is what emerges from the monitoring published in the weekly report of the High School of Economics and Management of Health Systems of the Catholic University, Rome campus.

In general, Puglia has a greater number of territorial administration points (460) followed by Veneto (148), Tuscany (164) and Emilia Romagna (141). On the contrary, the Sicily region records a higher number of hospital administration points (125) followed by Lombardy (112) and Lazio (87) .As of April 27, as regards the ratio between the resident population and the number of administration points (territorial and hospital) for each region, Puglia still has the lowest ratio: on average each vaccination point has approximately 6523 residents in charge, followed by Liguria with 8910 residents. On the contrary, the Lombardy and Campania regions have the highest value, with a ratio of 76004 residents for Lombardy and 94.790 for Campania.

As regards the number of administrations for each vaccination point (based on the ratio between vaccinations carried out at centers), the highest value of the indicator is recorded in Campania, where each administration point has carried out approximately 30869 vaccines. High values ​​of the indicator are also found in Lombardy (26485) and Molise (21508). On the contrary, the aforementioned indicator reveals a low ratio between inoculated vaccines and points of administration in Puglia (2412) and in Trentino-Alto Adige (1978).
