Brussels, 29 April (beraking latest news Salute) – Italy is advancing in the vaccination of the population against Covid-19, but ends up in the queue among the large European countries for the percentage of adults who have received at least one dose. According to the weekly report of the ECDC (European Center for Disease Prevention and Control), updated on 25 April, Italy has injected at least one dose of the vaccine to 24.8% of the adult population, compared to 28.1% of Germany, 26.7% of France, 27.6% of Spain and 24.9% of Poland.

The pace of vaccination in our country has slightly increased compared to the previous week (3.5% of the adult population was vaccinated compared to the last report, compared to 3.2% in the previous week), but the other large EU countries have accelerated more. The ‘vaccination spread’ with respect to Germany, i.e. the differential between the shares of the adult population that received at least one dose of the vaccine, rises to 3.3 percentage points, compared to 2.4 points 7 days ago.

Things are better considering the fully immunized population, which has received both doses: Italy has reached 10.3% of the adult population, against 8.6% in Germany, 10% in Spain and 10%. , 5% of France. In this case, the vaccination spread is 1.7 points in our favor, compared to Germany. Hungary remains in the lead in the EU, which vaccinated 44.6% of the adult population with at least one dose (20.6% with two doses).
